Brandon Novak’s journey is one of the most remarkable transformations in the world of professional sports and entertainment. A skateboarding prodigy discovered by Tony Hawk, Novak became the first-ever skateboarder sponsored by Gatorade at the age of 14. He rose to international fame as a core member of the Jackass and Viva La Bam crew, living a life of high-stakes stunts and global stardom. However, behind the cameras, Brandon was locked in a decades long battle with heroin addiction that eventually cost him his career, his home, and nearly his life.
After 13 stays in treatment and a life defined by loss, Brandon achieved continuous sobriety on May 25, 2015. Since then, he has completely reinvented himself as a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) and a global keynote speaker. He has traveled the world sharing his story, not to perform stunts, but to provide a blueprint for others to reclaim their lives from the grip of substance abuse. His transition from a "cautionary tale" to a leader in the recovery movement is a testament to the power of a changed perspective.
Brandon’s professional work is rooted in the belief that recovery requires a bridge between clinical care and a return to the "real world." To provide this, he founded Novak’s House, a network of premier recovery residences designed to offer the structure and accountability he found essential to his own success. These homes provide more than just a place to sleep, they offer a community where men can focus on reintegration, character building, and the development of the life skills necessary for long term independence.
Beyond sober living, Brandon founded the Redemption Addiction Treatment Center to provide a deeper level of clinical support. Redemption operates on a philosophy of "radical empathy," staffed by individuals who have personally walked the path of recovery. The center provides a full continuum of care, from partial hospitalisation to intensive outpatient services, ensuring that every individual receives a customised plan for healing. By combining evidence based medical therapies with the authentic understanding of peer led support, Brandon’s programs offer a sanctuary where the "death sentence" of addiction is replaced with a blueprint for a vibrant, meaningful future.

The positive impact Redemption has had on my life is hard to put into words because it's so significant. Brandon and his team have no agenda other than helping people get sober. He succeeded in his goal of creating a place that people actually want to go to—the whole staff is amazing, and I am forever grateful for this place. Stay sober, stay grateful!" - Karen
If I could give more than five stars, I would. This team is phenomenal. My husband was struggling, and from the moment he arrived at Redemption, it was clear this was a place of healing and hope. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and committed to not just treating the addiction, but helping him understand the root causes. Our family is sincerely grateful for the encouragement and support. -Family Member
Redemption allowed me to be close with my family for the first time in years, while Novak’s House provided the structure I needed just ten minutes away. Brandon Novak’s individual love and care for each client is present every day; he actually makes time to listen to clients in the morning. His experienced and caring approach to recovery is truly unmatched. - Dale
